About Me

most people know cordeelia as the owner of the moosh pit, a rowdy little dive bar tucked away off a forgotten highway somewhere between miles and miles of rolling cornfields.the sign flickers.
the floorboards creak.
the jukebox only works half the time when you push the buttons just right.
and somehow, it's the most welcoming place for miles.but.. few people know the story of the woman behind it.dee was born on a struggling ranch under a sky so wide it felt like it stretched forever. her family raised livestock, fixed fences, and worked from sunup to sundown. growing up, she was expected to follow the same path as everyone else before her.what's the problem with that? right?she hated being told what she was supposed to be.while other kids listened to country radio, she secretly blasted punk rock through cheap headphones while tending the crops. she covered her school notebooks with band logos, dyed streaks in the layers underneath her cherry red hair, and dreamed of a life bigger than the tiny town she called home.the townsfolk never quite knew what to make of her.she was too loud for the ranchers, but too country for the city kids.
too rebellious for everyone else.
she spent years trying to fit somewhere she didn't belong. so, one day, she stopped trying.after leaving her small town, she bounced from town to town working odd jobs.bartender.
roadie.
mechanic.she played bass in terrible garage bands that never made it past three shows. she slept in pickup trucks, cheap motels, and once spent and entire summer living over an old, dusty record shop that was one bad sale away from total collapse.while it wasn't glamourous, she met people.
lots of people.
misfits. weirdos. outcasts. the folks that never felt like they belonged anywhere.
her people.years later, when an abandoned roadside bar went up for sale, she spent every dollar she saved to buy it - ignoring everyone that told her it was a terrible investment.the roof leaked. the kitchen barely worked. the place looked like it was one wrong step away from collapsing. it was broken, misunderstood just like her. so, naturally, she fell in love with it. she renamed it the moosh pit - mainly because she thought it was funny and copes with humor and puns.underneath the attitude, leather belts, and punk-rock bravado, she's still a small town girl who built a home for people who never had one.the moosh pit isn't successful because of the drinks.
or the music.
or the food (but she'll argue to anyone who'll listen that the bar food here is better than any michelin star restaurant).
it's successful because she made it into a place she spent her whole life searching for: a place where everyone belongs, even if they don't fit in.
